4th Grade QUEST Cultural Night

4th Grade QUEST Cultural Night

Deborah Sullivan’s 4th grade QUEST class celebrated Cultural Night on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019. Students chose a country and researched the location, geography, economy, government, art, people, and interesting facts.  Students also drew a map of the country and flag, created an art piece that was important to the culture, and wrote a speech that they recorded and put on a QR code.  Finally, they chose a favorite dish from the culture and made the dish for students and families to sample.  During the school day, students presented their country to the class while students sampled their dish.  It was astounding to watch students try food from all around the world and even picky eaters tried the food!   That evening for Cultural Night, students dressed in cultural attire, answered questions about the country, and passed out samples of their dish.  It truly was a night to remember!
