The March character trait has been changed to Kindness this year! Beginning Monday, March 2, students will be presented with 22 'kindness challenges' (one for each school day), plus a Kindness Bingo card with 25 boxes. As each challenge is completed a box can be colored in, one per day, so that to achieve a blackout a student will need to do a kind act each day over the weekends as well. After 5 days our school counselors will go to each classroom to award a prize to anyone who has a 5-in-a-row Bingo, and when the month is over anyone who achieved a Blackout will have their name put into a drawing for bigger prizes!
Each day staff will also be handing out paper hearts to students they catch demonstrating kindness, and at the end of each day those students will bring their hearts to the lunchroom to place them on our Eagles Kindness Tree, so everyone at LC can watch our kindness grow!
