Lewis & Clark’s 25th Annual Science Fair will be held on Friday, February 7, 2019.
This event is a great opportunity for every child to have some fun with science. The experiment can be very simple and need not be complicated or expensive to be great science! An information packet with some helpful websites and ideas for science fair projects will be sent home with every 3rd – 5th grader, which should explain everything you need to know to help your child prepare for this event. Additional packets for 1st and 2nd graders can be picked up at the office. This is a noncompetitive science fair for all ages, none of the projects will be judged and all participants will receive a medal. Every student will have an opportunity to present their project to a volunteer with a background in science or education.
For a fun and successful Science Fair, we need volunteers on Friday February 7:
- from 8:00 am - 8:45 to help set up presentation boards
- from 8:45 am - 11:30 to help ensure all students get their medals and evaluator comments
- from 9:00 am - 11:30 volunteer evaluators to listen to the students describe their project and go over their presentations
If you would like to help, please email Cheryl Antonio at Cheryl.Antonio@NV5.com.
(The school will be open from 5:30 – 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 6th for friends and family to view the Science Fair projects.)
